Complex Networks launches Sole Collector app

Sneakerheads know the frustrating and arduous task of hopping from site to site in search of their favorite kicks, but the hunt may be about to get easier. Complex Networks has launched what it calls “the ultimate sneakerhead resource” — the Sole Collector app.

Brendan Dunne, host of Complex’s “Full Size Run” and GM of sneaker news website Sole Collector, views the new app as a natural extension of the brand. He believes that it will serve as a new, one-stop resource for sneaker price comparison and collecting.

The app spans nearly 40,000 SKUs and allows sneakerheads to compare prices from popular sneaker marketplaces such as Adidas, Converse, Flight Club, Goat, Stadium Goods, and StockX.

“The sneaker scene was built around a group of informed and obsessive collectors. As obtaining the sneakers you want becomes a more complicated process, we wanted to find a way to address the changing needs of a massive, global audience of sneaker fans,” said Dunne.

Aleksey Baksheyev, chief technology officer of Complex Networks, tells Yahoo Finance that the sole collector app represents the “natural evolution of the sneaker market.”

The app also has tracking functionality that will allow users to set preferences and automatically get notifications about upcoming sneaker releases. Users can also watch Complex’s video series offerings such as “Full Size Run” and “Sneaker Shopping,” hosted by Joe La Puma.

The app is compatible with iOS devices and is available in the Apple App Store.

Complex Networks is half-owned by Yahoo Finance’s parent company, Verizon.
